2. Author Guidelines

2.1 Guiding Principles

An acceptable manuscript reports a worthwhile contribution to science. Sound methodology is used and explained in enough detail for other capable scientists to repeat the experiments. Conclusions are supported by data, and the manuscript is concise, well written, and understandable.

2.2 Length Limits at a Glance

150-200 Words, abstract
Max. 5 Keywords, in alphabetical order
750-1000 Words, introduction
400-600 Words, materials and methods
40-80 Words, conclusion and suggestion
10+ References, 80% from journals

2.3 Manuscript Format

Upload the manuscript to the JTK journal system in the JTK standard format, in this order:

  • Title
  • Authors, address, and email
  • Abstract and keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and methods
  • Results and discussion
  • Conclusion

LayoutOne side of white A4 paper, single column, single line spacing, 12 point Times New Roman, with line numbers.
Margins2 cm on all four sides.

2.4 Section by Section

TitleConcise and informative. Avoid abbreviations and formulas where possible. Describe the content of the research clearly and briefly.
AuthorsState the main author and co-authors with full names (no abbreviations), including addresses and email addresses.
AbstractComes after the title page. It must be integrated and independent, covering introduction and purpose, methods, results, conclusion, and suggestion, but written as a single paragraph without these headers. Avoid references and uncommon abbreviations; define any essential abbreviation at its first mention. Use 150 to 200 words, with keywords.
KeywordsAvoid general and plural terms and multiple concepts. Do not reuse words from the title. Keywords are used for indexing. Use no more than 5 words or phrases, in alphabetical order.
IntroductionState the objectives and give adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of results. Explain how you addressed the problem and state the aims clearly. Write for readers who are not experts in the field. Use 750 to 1000 words.
Materials and methodsGive the time and place of the research first. State clearly and briefly all materials and methods, such as chemicals for analysis, treatment, and experimental design. A theory section should extend, not repeat, the introduction. A calculation section is a practical development from a theoretical basis. Use 400 to 600 words.
Results and discussionWrite them in the same part, from the main result to the supporting results, with a discussion. Follow the international system of units. Place all figures and tables separately at the end of the manuscript pages, active and editable by the editor.
ConclusionExplain clearly. A suggestion placed after the conclusion gives a recommendation on the research or an input that consumers can use directly. Use 40 to 80 words for the conclusion and suggestion.
AcknowledgementState the grant source and the person to whom the grant was given. Name the people who helped with the work.

2.5 References

StyleThe author-year system is required. Write all references in American Psychological Association (APA) style, arranged from A to Z.
Quantity and qualityAt least 10 recent references, of which 80% are journal articles. Most should be primary sources from the last ten years.
Not allowedUnpublished data and personal communication must not be cited. "In press" articles accepted for publication may be cited, with the journal name and publication date if available.
