1. Plagiarism and Similarity Policy

All submitted manuscripts must be original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and duplicate publication.

JTK conducts manuscript similarity screening using Turnitin and applies the following requirements:

20% Overall similarity, maximum
< 3% Similarity from any single source

Similarity reports generated by Turnitin are reviewed by the editorial team to identify potential plagiarism and inappropriate textual overlap. Properly cited quotations, references, and commonly used technical terminology are considered during the assessment.

Above the limits: manuscripts exceeding these limits may be returned for revision or rejected following editorial evaluation.

Compliance with the similarity thresholds does not automatically guarantee that a manuscript is free from plagiarism.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

JTK permits the responsible use of AI-assisted tools, provided that the scientific content, research findings, analysis, and conclusions remain the authors' original work.

Permitted

Language editing, grammar correction, and improving manuscript readability.

Not permitted

Fabricating research data, references, findings, or scientific conclusions.

Required

Disclose any substantive use of generative AI tools. Authors remain fully responsible for originality, accuracy, and integrity.

20% Maximum AI-generated content indicator, an internal screening threshold

AI-generated content is assessed using Trinka AI, accessed through the journal's collaboration with Relawan Jurnal Indonesia (RJI).

The 20% threshold is established to maintain academic originality and encourage responsible AI-assisted writing while recognizing the limitations of AI detection tools, including potential false-positive results in academic manuscripts.

Detection results are preliminary: they are treated as screening indicators rather than definitive evidence of AI-generated authorship. Manuscripts exceeding the threshold will undergo further editorial assessment and may be returned for clarification or revision.

Editorial decisions are based on scientific quality, originality, research integrity, and compliance with publication ethics, rather than AI detection scores alone.
