Jurnal Teknologi Kedirgantaraan (JTK) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, integrity, and availability of its published scholarly content. Digital archiving procedures protect published articles and their metadata against data loss, technical failures, and disruptions to journal operations.
1. Digital Archiving and Preservation
All published articles are archived on the official journal website using the OJS platform.
Article preservation
Articles are kept in final published PDF format, organised by year, volume, and issue.
Metadata preservation
Titles, authors, abstracts, keywords, publication dates, and DOIs (where assigned) are kept in OJS.
XML archiving
Article and issue metadata may be exported as XML to support exchange, migration, and preservation.
Database and file backup
Copies of the OJS database and essential publication files support recovery and continuity.
Separate backup storage
Backups are stored securely, apart from the primary hosting, to reduce the risk of simultaneous loss.
2. Backup and Data Recovery
3. Long-Term Accessibility
JTK maintains free and continuous access to its published content through the official website.
All published articles remain available in the online archive without subscription fees. The journal also keeps bibliographic metadata accurate and consistent to support identification, citation, and dissemination.
4. Migration or Discontinuation
System migration
During server migration, platform upgrades, or management changes, the journal will take reasonable measures to preserve and transfer articles, metadata, and archival records.
If publication ceases
The publisher and editorial team will make reasonable efforts to keep previous content accessible through institutional digital storage or another suitable archive, subject to resources and technical capability.
5. Archiving Responsibilities
The editorial team, with the publisher and technical administrator, implements and maintains the archiving procedures.
6. Policy Review and Improvement
This policy is reviewed periodically so that it stays relevant to the journal's publishing operations, technical infrastructure, and preservation requirements.
Planned improvement: JTK may adopt recognised third-party preservation services, such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), when technically and institutionally feasible.
